After booking a consultation, you will be emailed a Comprehensive Health Questionnaire and a 3-day food diary that needs to be returned to me at least 3 days in advance of the appointment. This enables me to build a preliminary picture of your health and also gives me an opportunity to research any specific areas raised on the questionnaire.
This appointment lasts around 90 minutes. It is an in depth consultation looking at your entire health history. The personalised approach allows me to spend time, listening to your history and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that could influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease.
I aim to identify the root causes and imbalances linked to your symptoms and health concerns and work with you to devise a dietary and lifestyle programme that is specific to you. You may be recommended diagnostic tests (e.g. blood/urine/stool) to help identify any causes of your symptoms. I may also suggest supporting your programme with vitamins, minerals or other supplements. (These are optional and will not be included in the price of the consultation). You are welcome to take notes during the consultation. Subsequent consultations usually last around an hour.
A brief summary email will be sent to you detailing the main points raised in the consultation. A detailed report is preferred by many of my clients and is available at a cost of £45.
Nutritional Therapy is a process, it is therefore unusual to be able to fix a health issue in a single appointment and follow up appointments are often necessary.
